Hey everyone! Welcome back to my channel. Today, I am so excited to share with you my sewing vlog on the Wildwood Wrap Dress Sewalong & Review. This dress has been on my sewing to-do list for quite some time, and I finally had the chance to sit down and create it.

First of all, let me just say that I absolutely love wrap dresses. They are so versatile and flattering on all body types. The Wildwood Wrap Dress, in particular, caught my eye because of its beautiful silhouette and feminine details.

Before we dive into the sewing process, let me give you a brief overview of the pattern. The Wildwood Wrap Dress is a wrap-style dress with a front tie closure, gathered sleeve detail, and a flattering A-line skirt. The pattern features three different lengths – mini, midi, and maxi – as well as options for short or long sleeves.

For my dress, I chose to make the midi length with short puffed sleeves. I also opted for a lightweight floral print fabric that I had in my stash for the perfect spring/summer dress.

Now, let’s get started with the sewing process. I began by printing out the pattern and cutting out all the pieces. The pattern instructions were clear and easy to follow, which made the cutting process a breeze. I then transferred all the markings onto my fabric using tailor’s chalk.

Next, I sewed the bodice pieces together, following the instructions step by step. The front bodice has a beautiful V-neckline and gathering detail at the shoulders, which adds a nice touch of femininity to the dress. I did have to make a few adjustments to the fit, but overall, the bodice came together nicely.

Once the bodice was complete, it was time to move on to the skirt. The skirt pieces were straightforward to sew, with simple pleats at the waistline for a bit of added fullness. I attached the bodice to the skirt, creating a seamless transition between the two pieces.

The final step was adding the sleeves and hemming the dress. The short puffed sleeves were my favorite part of the dress, giving it a playful and romantic vibe. I finished off the dress by hemming the skirt and sleeves, and voila – my Wildwood Wrap Dress was complete!

Now, let’s talk about the fit and overall look of the dress. I have to say, I am thrilled with how it turned out. The wrap style is incredibly flattering on my body, accentuating my waist and creating a beautiful silhouette. The midi length was perfect for me, hitting just below the knee for a classy and elegant look.

The fabric I chose was lightweight and flowy, which added to the breezy and effortless feel of the dress. I can see myself wearing this dress to a summer picnic, a day out with friends, or even a casual evening out. It’s the perfect dress for any occasion.

Overall, I highly recommend the Wildwood Wrap Dress pattern to any sewist looking for a fun and stylish project. The pattern is beginner-friendly, with clear instructions and straightforward construction. The end result is a beautiful and flattering dress that you will love wearing again and again.
