Hey everyone! Today, I want to talk to you about my favorites and unfavorites from this past summer of 2016. I recently put together a video highlighting all of the things I absolutely loved as well as the things that just didn’t quite make the cut. So without further ado, let’s dive into my summer favorites and unfavorites!

First up, let’s talk about my favorite beauty products from the summer. One of the standout items for me was the Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette. The warm tones in this palette are absolutely perfect for creating summery, bronzed looks. I also couldn’t get enough of the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Lip Gloss in the shade Fenty Glow. It’s the perfect combination of shimmer and shine that is ideal for those hot summer days.

On the flip side, one beauty product that didn’t quite hit the mark for me was the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. I know, I know, it’s a cult favorite for many, but unfortunately, the formula just didn’t work well with my skin. It ended up looking cakey and creased throughout the day, which was definitely a major letdown.

Next, let’s move on to fashion favorites. One of my go-to summer pieces was a flowy maxi dress from Reformation. It was perfect for those days when I just wanted to throw something on and go, while still looking put-together. I also couldn’t get enough of my white sneakers from Adidas. They were comfy and versatile, making them a staple in my wardrobe all season long.

On the other hand, one fashion item that didn’t quite make the cut for me was a pair of denim shorts from Levi’s. While they looked great on the rack, they ended up being super uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. The fit was just off, and I found myself constantly adjusting them throughout the day.

Now, let’s talk about some of my favorite experiences from the summer. I was lucky enough to travel to Italy for a week, and it was hands down the highlight of my summer. The food, the culture, the scenery – everything was absolutely incredible. I also had a blast attending outdoor concerts and festivals with friends. There’s just something about live music under the stars that can’t be beaten.

Unfortunately, not every experience from the summer was a positive one. One of my unfavorites was getting a bad sunburn while at the beach. I neglected to reapply sunscreen throughout the day, and ended up paying for it later on. Lesson learned: always remember to protect your skin!

Lastly, let’s talk about my favorite books and movies from the summer. One book that I absolutely devoured was “Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens. It was a beautifully written and captivating story that I couldn’t put down. As for movies, I couldn’t get enough of “Crazy Rich Asians.” The visuals, the romance, the humor – it was the perfect summer flick.

On the flip side, one book that didn’t quite live up to the hype for me was “The Woman in the Window” by A.J. Finn. I had heard so many great things about it, but unfortunately, I found the story to be predictable and the characters lacking depth. And as for movies, “The Meg” was a major disappointment. I was hoping for a fun, action-packed shark movie, but it ended up falling flat for me.

As we wrap up, I hope you enjoyed hearing about my favorite and unfavorite things from the summer of 2016. It’s always fun to reflect on the past and think about all of the experiences and products that stood out to me. Let me know in the comments what some of your favorites and unfavorites from that summer were – I’d love to hear about them!

Thanks for watching, and I’ll see you in my next video!
