Hey everyone! Welcome back to my channel! In today’s video, VLOG 233, I’ll be taking you behind the scenes as I sew a sheer bathing suit coverup. I’m so excited to share this process with you, so let’s jump right in!

First off, I want to talk about why I decided to make this coverup. As summer approaches, I wanted to add some new pieces to my wardrobe that would be perfect for the beach or pool. I love the look of sheer coverups, so I thought it would be fun to create my own!

Before we get started, let’s talk about the materials I’ll be using for this project. I picked out a beautiful sheer fabric in a light, airy color that will be perfect for a beach day. I also have some matching thread, scissors, pins, and my sewing machine all set up and ready to go.

Now, let’s dive into the actual sewing process. I start by cutting out the pattern pieces for the coverup. I want it to be loose and flowy, so I’m keeping the design simple with just a front and back piece along with two sleeves. I carefully cut out the pieces, making sure to leave extra seam allowance for sewing.

Next, I pin the pieces together and start sewing. I use a straight stitch along the seams, making sure to backstitch at the beginning and end to secure the stitches. As I sew, I can already see the coverup coming together and I’m getting more excited with each stitch.

Once the main pieces are sewn together, I try on the coverup to check the fit. I’m happy with how it’s looking so far, but I decide to add a few extra details to really make it pop. I grab some lace trim and decide to stitch it along the neckline and hem for a delicate touch.

As I sew the lace trim in place, I can already see how much it elevates the look of the coverup. It adds a beautiful detail that makes it look even more luxurious. I’m so glad I decided to add this extra touch!

With the lace trim sewn on, I try on the coverup again and I’m thrilled with how it looks. It’s exactly what I envisioned – light, airy, and perfect for a day at the beach. I can’t wait to show it off!

Finally, I finish up the coverup by hemming the sleeves and bottom edge. I want the edges to look clean and polished, so I carefully fold them over and stitch them in place. Once that’s done, my sheer bathing suit coverup is complete!

Overall, I’m so happy with how this project turned out. I love being able to create my own pieces and see my vision come to life. I hope you enjoyed coming along with me for the journey and seeing the behind-the-scenes process of sewing this coverup. Thanks for watching and I’ll see you in the next video!
