Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel! Today, I am so excited to share with you my latest make – the Grainline Studio Scout Tee in Atelier Brunette double gauze fabric. I am absolutely in love with how this top turned out, and I can’t wait to tell you all about it!

First off, let me just say that the Atelier Brunette double gauze fabric is like a dream to work with. It is incredibly soft and lightweight, with a beautiful drape that is perfect for a flowy top like the Scout Tee. The fabric has a subtle texture to it, which adds just the right amount of interest to the solid color.

When it comes to the Scout Tee pattern, Grainline Studio has hit it out of the park once again. I have made several versions of this top in different fabrics, and it is always a pleasure to sew up. The relaxed fit and simple design make it a versatile piece that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

For this particular version, I decided to make a few modifications to the pattern. I lengthened the sleeves slightly and added a cuff for a more polished look. I also opted for a high-low hemline, which I think gives the top a more modern feel. These small changes really make the top feel unique and special to me.

As for the construction process, sewing with double gauze can be a bit tricky due to its loose weave. I made sure to use a sharp needle and a walking foot to prevent any snagging or pulling of the fabric. I also took my time with the seams, pressing them carefully to ensure a clean finish. Despite the extra care required, the end result is well worth it.

One thing I love about the Scout Tee pattern is how quickly it comes together. The simple silhouette and minimalistic design make it a great project for beginners or for those looking for a quick and satisfying sew. With just a few hours of work, you can have a beautiful handmade top that you will want to wear again and again.

Now, let’s talk about the fit of the top. The Scout Tee is meant to have a relaxed and slightly oversized look, which I think is perfect for the double gauze fabric. The fabric drapes beautifully and gives the top a casual yet elegant vibe. I love how it skims over my body without clinging too tightly, making it comfortable to wear all day long.

When it comes to styling, the Scout Tee is incredibly versatile. I like to pair it with high-waisted jeans and sneakers for a casual everyday look, or dress it up with a skirt and heels for a more put-together outfit. The high-low hemline adds a unique touch that sets this top apart from your typical t-shirt.

Overall, I am thrilled with how my new Grainline Studio Scout Tee turned out in the Atelier Brunette double gauze fabric. The combination of the beautiful fabric and the simple yet stylish pattern has resulted in a top that I know I will reach for time and time again. I highly recommend both the Scout Tee pattern and the Atelier Brunette double gauze fabric for your next sewing project – you won’t be disappointed!
