Hey everyone! Welcome back to my channel. Today I am super excited to share with you all a beginner-friendly festival makeup tutorial for 2018. Festivals are the perfect opportunity to experiment with bold and colorful makeup looks, so I wanted to create a look that is fun, vibrant, and easy to recreate.

For this makeup tutorial, I will be using a mix of high-end and drugstore products so that you can easily recreate this look without breaking the bank. Whether you are a makeup beginner or an expert, this tutorial is perfect for anyone looking to add a pop of color to their festival makeup looks.

So without further ado, let’s get started with the tutorial!

Step 1: Prep Your Skin

Before diving into the makeup application, it’s essential to prep your skin to ensure a smooth and long-lasting makeup application. Start by cleansing your face with your favorite cleanser, followed by moisturizing with a hydrating moisturizer. Don’t forget to apply a layer of sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays while you’re dancing the day away at the festival.

Step 2: Prime Your Face

Next, apply a primer to your face to create a smooth base for your makeup application. This step will help your makeup last longer and prevent it from melting off in the heat. Use a mattifying primer if you have oily skin or a hydrating primer if you have dry skin.

Step 3: Apply Foundation and Concealer

Once your primer has set, apply your favorite foundation all over your face using a beauty sponge or brush. Blend it out seamlessly for a flawless finish. Don’t forget to conceal any blemishes or dark circles with a full-coverage concealer.

Step 4: Set Your Base

To ensure your makeup stays in place all day, set your foundation and concealer with a translucent setting powder. Focus on areas that tend to get oily throughout the day, such as your T-zone.

Step 5: Fill in Your Brows

Brows frame the face, so make sure they are on point for your festival look. Fill in any sparse areas with a brow pencil or powder and set them in place with a clear brow gel.

Step 6: Add Some Color to Your Eyes

Now it’s time to have some fun with color! For this festival look, I will be using a vibrant eyeshadow palette with bright shades. Start by applying a transition shade in the crease of your eye, followed by a bold color on the lid. Blend out any harsh lines for a seamless finish.

Step 7: Winged Liner and Mascara

Next, create a winged liner using a black liquid eyeliner for a dramatic effect. Finish off the eye look with a few coats of your favorite mascara to make your lashes pop.

Step 8: Add Some Highlight and Blush

No festival look is complete without a glowing complexion. Apply a highlighter to the high points of your face, such as the cheekbones and brow bone, for a radiant finish. Add a pop of color to your cheeks with a bright blush to tie the look together.

Step 9: Apply a Bold Lip

For a festival look, you can’t go wrong with a bold lip color. Whether it’s a bright red, hot pink, or vibrant coral, choose a shade that complements your eye makeup. Apply a lip liner first to define your lips, then fill them in with your chosen lip color.

Step 10: Set Your Makeup

Finally, set your makeup in place with a setting spray to ensure it lasts all day and night. This step will also help melt all the powders into your skin for a seamless finish.

And there you have it, a beginner-friendly festival makeup look for 2018! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and feel inspired to recreate this look for your next festival. Don’t be afraid to experiment with colors and have fun with your makeup. Remember, makeup is all about expression and creativity, so don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.
