In this video, I’ll be showing you how to mix highlight colors to achieve a gorgeous look on a 13×4 HD lace wig without any lifting. So grab your wig, your tools, and let’s jump right into it!

First things first, let’s talk about the importance of baby hairs on a wig. Baby hairs are the thin, wispy hairs that frame your face and give your wig a more natural look. They can be a little tricky to style, but with the right techniques, you can achieve that flawless finish.

Now, for this tutorial, I’ll be using a 13×4 HD lace wig from #ulahair. This wig is top of the line, with a high-definition lace that looks incredibly natural. It’s the perfect base for our highlight color mix. I chose a blonde and a light brown shade to create a subtle, sun-kissed look.

Before we get started, make sure you have all the tools you need. You’ll need a comb, some edge control or gel, a rat tail comb, and of course, your highlight colors. I like to use a tint brush to apply the color, but you can also use your fingers if you prefer.

First, let’s prep our wig. I like to gently comb through the hair to remove any tangles or knots. Then, I use some edge control or gel to slick down the hair along the hairline. This will make it easier to work with and will help the baby hairs to stay in place.

Now it’s time to mix our highlight colors. I like to start by mixing a small amount of each color on a disposable surface, like a paper plate or a piece of foil. You can mix the colors together until you achieve the desired shade. I like to create a gradient effect, with the lighter color at the front of the hairline and the darker color towards the back.

Using your tint brush, start applying the highlight colors to the baby hairs along the hairline. You can use a feathering motion to create a natural, blended look. Don’t be afraid to play around with the placement of the colors to create a unique, customized look.

Once you’ve applied the highlight colors, use your rat tail comb to gently comb through the baby hairs. This will help to blend the colors together and create a seamless finish. You can also use your fingers to shape the baby hairs and create the perfect swoops and swirls.
