Hey everyone, Savanah Hernandez here. Today, I want to talk about something that has been on my mind since attending the San Francisco Pride Parade. As a journalist, I always strive to bring you the truth, even if it may be uncomfortable. So, let’s dive into the disturbing scenes that I witnessed at the parade.

First and foremost, I want to make it clear that I have nothing against the LGBTQ+ community. In fact, I fully support their right to celebrate their identity and express themselves freely. However, what I saw at the San Francisco Pride Parade went beyond mere celebration.

As I walked through the crowds, I couldn’t help but notice the excessive displays of nudity and sexual activity. It seemed that some individuals were using the parade as an excuse to engage in lewd behavior that had no place in a public setting. I saw people engaging in sexual acts out in the open, with no regard for the families and children in attendance.

What struck me the most was the presence of children at the parade. While I believe that it’s important to teach children about diversity and acceptance, exposing them to such explicit content is simply inappropriate. I saw young children witnessing things that no child should have to see, and it broke my heart.

Furthermore, the parade seemed to be overrun with drug use. I witnessed people openly smoking marijuana and using other substances right in front of law enforcement officers who turned a blind eye. It seemed that the organizers of the parade had no control over the situation, allowing illegal activities to run rampant.

Another disturbing aspect of the parade was the inclusion of provocative performances that bordered on pornographic. As I watched dancers gyrating suggestively and engaging in simulated sex acts, I couldn’t help but wonder where the line was drawn between artistic expression and indecency. It seemed that anything goes at the San Francisco Pride Parade, regardless of how offensive or inappropriate it may be.

Throughout the day, I spoke with several attendees who shared my concerns about the direction that the parade was taking. Many expressed their disappointment in the lack of oversight and accountability from the organizers, who seemed more interested in shock value than in promoting a positive message of acceptance and inclusivity.

As a journalist, it is my duty to report on the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable. While I fully support the LGBTQ+ community and their right to celebrate, I cannot condone the explicit and inappropriate behavior that I witnessed at the San Francisco Pride Parade. It’s time for organizers to take a stand and ensure that future events are held to a higher standard of decency and respect.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to my thoughts on this issue. Let’s continue to strive for a world where all individuals can celebrate their identities in a safe and respectful manner.
