The color was more of a dull grey-blue than the vibrant blue I had ordered. The material was cheap and scratchy, and the fit was completely off. As I tried on the dress and looked in the mirror, I couldn’t help but feel disappointed. I had been so excited about wearing this dress to prom, but now I felt self-conscious and uncomfortable. Despite the issues with the dress, I decided to keep it and make some alterations to improve the fit and quality. I knew that I could make it work for prom night with a little bit of effort. I spent hours sewing and adjusting the dress, making it more suitable for the occasion. In the end, I was able to make the dress look decent enough to wear to prom, but I couldn’t help but feel disappointed that I had to put in so much work to make it acceptable.
Now that prom night has come and gone, I can say that I had a good time despite the dress mishap. I received many compliments on my altered dress, and no one could tell that it wasn’t perfect. However, the experience with JJ’s House left a sour taste in my mouth. I had hoped for a stress-free shopping experience, but instead, I had to deal with disappointment and frustration.
