I experimented with this service to see if it could help me improve my wardrobe as a woman over 40, 50, or 60. Let’s dive in and see if there were any improvements made to my style!
Before we get started, let me give you a little background on my fashion journey. As a woman in my 50s, I have definitely noticed changes in my style preferences over the years. While I used to be all about trendy pieces and high heels, I now gravitate towards more classic and comfortable clothing options. I’m always on the lookout for ways to update my wardrobe and keep it fresh, which is why I decided to give FASHOM a try.
For those of you who may not be familiar, FASHOM is a clothing subscription service that sends you 5 items for $55. You fill out a style profile with your preferences and sizes, and a stylist selects pieces for you based on that information. It’s a great way to discover new brands and styles without having to do all the shopping yourself.
Now, let’s talk about my experience with FASHOM. When my box arrived, I was excited to see what was inside. The presentation was lovely, with each item individually wrapped and a personalized note from my stylist. I appreciated the attention to detail and it made the unboxing experience even more special.
The first item I tried on was a floral blouse that my stylist had picked out for me. I was initially hesitant about the print, but once I had it on, I actually really liked it. The fabric was soft and flowy, and the fit was flattering. It’s definitely a piece that I can see myself wearing to a brunch or a lunch with friends.
Next up was a pair of high-waisted wide leg trousers. As someone who typically opts for skinny jeans, these pants were a bit out of my comfort zone. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how chic and sophisticated they looked on me. The high waist was very flattering and the wide leg silhouette elongated my legs. I can see myself wearing these to a nice dinner or a work event.
The third item in my box was a sleeveless knit top in a vibrant coral shade. I loved the color and the ribbed texture of the fabric. It was a versatile piece that could be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion. I paired it with the wide leg trousers and it made for a stylish and put-together outfit.
For the fourth item, my stylist included a pair of embellished sandals. I’m not usually one to wear statement shoes, but these were surprisingly comfortable and added a fun pop to my outfit. The beading and sequins added a touch of glamour without being too over-the-top. I can see myself wearing these to a summer BBQ or a casual get-together.
Finally, the last item in my FASHOM box was a denim jacket with embroidered floral patches. Denim jackets are a staple in my wardrobe, but I loved the unique twist that the floral patches added to this one. It was a fun and playful piece that could be thrown on over a simple dress or paired with jeans for a casual weekend look.
Overall, I was impressed with the selection of items that my stylist chose for me. Each piece was unique and added something special to my wardrobe. I appreciated the thought and effort that went into curating my box, and I definitely felt like there were some improvements made to my style.
Would I recommend FASHOM to other women over 40, 50, or 60? Absolutely! It’s a great way to discover new brands and styles, and the convenience of having curated pieces sent directly to your door is a game changer. Plus, at $55 for 5 items, it’s a great value for the quality of clothing you receive.
