January 2015 Favs & Fails! Topic Tuesday!
195KHey everyone, welcome back to Topic Tuesday! Today I’m going to be sharing with you my favorite products from January 2015 as well as some products that didn’t quite live up to my expectations. So without further ado, let’s jump right into it!
First up, let’s talk about my favorite products from January 2015. One product that I absolutely loved during this month was the Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation. This foundation provided amazing coverage and lasted all day without needing any touch-ups. It also didn’t feel heavy or cakey on my skin, which is always a plus.
Another product that I was loving in January 2015 was the Urban Decay Naked Palette. This palette had the perfect mix of neutral shades that were great for creating both daytime and nighttime looks. The eyeshadows were super pigmented and blended like a dream, making it a go-to palette for me during this month.
Moving on to skincare, one product that I couldn’t get enough of in January 2015 was the Sunday Riley Good Genes Treatment. This product did wonders for my skin, improving its texture and overall appearance. It also helped to fade any acne scars I had, leaving my skin looking clear and radiant.
Now, let’s talk about the products that didn’t quite work out for me in January 2015. One product that was a major fail for me was the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation. This foundation was super cakey and emphasized all of my pores and fine lines. It also oxidized throughout the day, leaving me looking like an orange mess.
Another product that disappointed me in January 2015 was the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream. While the color was beautiful, the formula was extremely drying and emphasized any dry patches on my lips. I found myself constantly reapplying and trying to make it work, but it just didn’t live up to my expectations.
Overall, January 2015 was a great month for trying out new products. I discovered some holy grail items that have since become staples in my routine, as well as some products that I quickly tossed to the side. It’s all about trial and error when it comes to finding what works best for you, so don’t be afraid to experiment and try new things!
That’s all for this month’s Favs & Fails on Topic Tuesday. I hope you enjoyed hearing about the products I was loving and not-so-loving in January 2015. Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried any of these products and what your thoughts were. Until next time, stay beautiful!
